Let us know what you thought of this episode!
Celebrating milestones often brings a swell of emotions, and as I, Nadine, hit the two-year mark with "Life, Health, and the Universe," the feeling is nothing short of joyous gratitude.
Reflecting on the journey thus far, I find myself deeply thankful for your companionship, whether through sporadic listens or as part of the steadfast crew since the beginning. This special mini-episode is a tribute to you, the listeners who've made it possible to reach over a hundred episodes and thousands of downloads, creating a tapestry of stories that bind us in our quest to understand life's complexities and the vast universe we inhabit.
In this heartfelt episode, we not only celebrate the past two years but also honour the voices that have elevated our conversations. From the very first episode with Patty Sage to the insights of my latest guest, my Dad, Bob Burns, the diversity of our over 50 guests has spanned continents and a myriad of topics.
Listen in as I share a roll call of these remarkable individuals as well as the recent collaborative "Guide to Universal Living" series with Laverne Proctor, a wonderful evolution of our podcast's ethos.
Join me in this reflection of interconnectedness and the power of shared stories.
Speaker 1: Hello, hello, it's Nadine here and I'm here with
00:00:04
this week's mini episode of Life , health and the Universe.
00:00:10
We are in May and this is the first mini episode I've recorded
00:00:19
for two months, because I've had a whole host of amazing
00:00:23
guests on the podcast over the last four weeks, which has meant
00:00:29
that I haven't needed to record a mini episode in between,
00:00:34
which is quite fabulous.
00:00:36
Anyway, what I wanted to do is actually talk to you very
00:00:43
briefly today, as I always say at the beginning of a mini
00:00:46
episode, about the podcast.
00:00:48
Life, health and the Universe actually celebrated its second
00:00:55
birthday on the 25th of March this year, so I have reached a
00:01:02
two-year milestone with the podcast, and it couldn't be done
00:01:07
without you, the listeners, showing up and taking the time
00:01:12
to listen to these podcasts.
00:01:14
I know it can sometimes be really hard to find the time to
00:01:17
listen, and we find those little gaps in our day, I guess,
00:01:22
depending on what we're doing, but I just wanted to say that I
00:01:26
truly appreciate the time that you have taken to listen to the
00:01:31
podcast, whether you've listened to just a handful or whether
00:01:36
you've been with me right from the start two years ago, thank
00:01:41
you.
00:01:41
So what I'm going to do today is.
00:01:44
I'm actually going to take some time just a few minutes, to
00:01:48
tell you some of the things that the podcast has achieved over
00:01:54
the last couple of years.
00:01:55
It's pretty humble compared to what you hear from some people
00:02:01
who podcast, but nevertheless it requires some acknowledgement,
00:02:09
I think.
00:02:09
And so here we go.
00:02:13
So we're celebrating two years of Life, health and the Universe
00:02:19
.
00:02:20
I've published 114 episodes so far and to date we have had
00:02:29
3 downloads.
00:02:32
So downloads only show, I believe, the episodes that are
00:02:41
actually downloaded.
00:02:41
If they're listened to.
00:02:42
They don't get recorded as being listened to, so that gives
00:02:48
us some indication of people who have actually downloaded the
00:02:51
episodes.
00:02:51
But it's pretty significant to me.
00:02:55
3.
00:02:57
So, thank you.
00:02:59
I've had 50 guests plus, I think , from Australia, the UK, the US
00:03:06
and Canada so far.
00:03:08
Oh, and I think I've had one from Germany.
00:03:10
I may have had more than one from Germany, but definitely one
00:03:13
and what I'm going to do next is I'm going to mention all of
00:03:21
those guests, and then I'm going to mention all of those guests
00:03:24
and then I'm going to talk to you about some of the topics
00:03:27
that we've covered in the podcast.
00:03:30
So I'm going to.
00:03:31
Basically, I went through the podcast and I wrote a list of
00:03:34
all of the different guests that I'd had right from the
00:03:36
beginning, so we're going to start from the top Sage, wendy
00:03:50
Tabat, darren Shaw, peter Gillian, belinda Melilu, robin
00:03:53
Simpson, angela Council, georgina Baker, jay Harvey-Yin,
00:04:00
jules Ann, carol Parr, sue Ellen Tompkins, erica Webb, laurie
00:04:01
Curran, sarah Rusbach, alison Wheeler, virginia Wells,
00:04:06
elizabeth Bond, jenny Knox, sarah Kanata almost halfway
00:04:13
Michelle Pritchard, lisa MacDonald, chandra Moran or
00:04:18
Chandra, sorry Becky Cohen, susie Daphnis, veronica Amaya,
00:04:25
christy Smith, chelsea Webster, tiffany Cowley and Tom Palladino
00:04:30
, ryan Hassan, fiona Redding, vicky Dean, posey Upshaw, adam
00:04:38
Stanecki, anthony Harcher, dr Joy Hussain, andy Bryant,
00:04:44
waveney Ayskoff, victoria Kobilski, michael Hildebrandt,
00:05:05
michael Rubino, brett Bowman, carol Zuki, susan Salander,
00:05:06
jewel Sargent, mark Rodriguez, bindi Robertson, bob Burns that
00:05:08
was the most recent one, that was my dad I've had a guest
00:05:09
panel and Laverne Proctor, who I'm currently also doing a
00:05:17
series within Life, health and the Universe called Guide to
00:05:20
Universal Living.
00:05:21
So that's a collaboration that has come out of the podcast as
00:05:25
well.
00:05:25
Now I wanted to share with you some of the topics that are
00:05:31
being covered.
00:05:32
The podcast is called Life, health and the Universe because
00:05:36
there are so many.
00:05:37
We're so connected and interconnected and over my life
00:05:45
I've realized these interconnectedness, the
00:05:47
interconnectedness of all things , even more when it does come to
00:05:51
life, when it does come to health, when it does come to the
00:05:54
universe, and so we basically can cover anything we want when
00:05:59
we're on this podcast and we have.
00:06:01
We've had lots of different topics, so let's get started.
00:06:07
We've talked motherhood, crossfit, menopause, habits,
00:06:13
longevity, journaling, women in business.
00:06:16
We've heard personal stories.
00:06:18
We've talked regenerative farming, reiki, personal
00:06:24
coaching, having healthy homes, following our dreams.
00:06:29
We've talked about human behavior, self-care and
00:06:33
self-kindness, somatics, grey area, drinking and quitting
00:06:38
alcohol, female empowerment, decluttering movement, writing,
00:06:46
mature age, motherhood.
00:06:47
We've talked about burnout.
00:06:49
We've covered human design, healing trauma.
00:06:52
We've had a guest talking about scalar light, mindset,
00:06:59
homeschooling, fast fashion.
00:07:01
The list goes on.
00:07:03
I'm nearly there Breath, work, breathing.
00:07:05
I've done some book reviews.
00:07:07
We've talked sauna, bathing, healthy feet, aromatherapy,
00:07:13
making music, overcoming health issues.
00:07:16
We've talked about natural health, and we've had some
00:07:20
natural health practitioners, esoteric wisdom, sleep, life
00:07:28
coaching, women's health.
00:07:30
We've had authors.
00:07:31
We've talked aesthetics, climate change, intermittent
00:07:36
fasting and happiness.
00:07:38
There's probably a few more topics thrown in there, but they
00:07:43
are some of the ones that you can find on the podcast.
00:07:48
So, as I said, I just wanted to say a big thank you to you, the
00:07:52
listeners, for taking the time to listen to the podcast,
00:07:57
whether it's been a lot or a little, every bit counts and, as
00:08:01
you can now see or hear, as well as those just before I go
00:08:06
on, as well as those 50 guests and I've already got a whole
00:08:10
bunch more scheduled to record in the next few weeks, heading
00:08:16
into season 10.
00:08:18
I've done a whole bunch of mini episodes as well, just with
00:08:24
some insights and snippets based on my own personal experiences,
00:08:29
my personal journey and also my areas of expertise in habits
00:08:35
and health and personal coaching .
00:08:40
So, as I said, 50 guests so far , with a whole bunch more
00:08:47
already scheduled for the next season, and I'd love to ask you
00:08:58
for your help If we have these amazing people with amazing
00:09:04
stories and amazing expertise and we want to get their message
00:09:06
out there more.
00:09:06
If you've listened to an episode and you've liked it, I
00:09:11
would really, really love it if you could do one of the
00:09:15
following things, or maybe both Share it with a friend who you
00:09:21
think might like it too, or even just share it in your socials.
00:09:25
That would be amazing.
00:09:26
Another thing you could do is leave a review or rate it on
00:09:31
whatever platform you're using.
00:09:32
So the main platform is actually the main platform that
00:09:37
the podcast is being downloaded on so far is apple.
00:09:41
Otherwise people are going directly through buzzsprout,
00:09:44
which is the, the platform that I use for the podcast.
00:09:48
But you can rate on Apple or Spotify.
00:09:52
No doubt you can rate on those other um platforms as well.
00:09:57
Um, but if you could do that, one of those two things or both,
00:10:01
if you can find the time to literally click that little
00:10:04
button to share an episode or rate it by giving it a star
00:10:10
review if you've liked it, I guess if you don't like it, I
00:10:16
should probably take it on the chin.
00:10:17
And if you want to rate me badly, then go for it.
00:10:21
What can I say?
00:10:22
Hopefully you won't, but yeah, we've got, we've had all of
00:10:27
these amazing guests.
00:10:28
I want to get their stories, their messages, their expertise
00:10:32
shared with as many people as possible.
00:10:34
So if you can help me do that, I would really appreciate that
00:10:38
little bit of time that it takes for you to do that.
00:10:45
And, as I mentioned earlier, life, health and the universe
00:10:48
because we're all connected and those small things that we think
00:10:52
might be insignificant can mean the most to many of us.
00:10:56
And supporting one another in our endeavors is one of the most
00:11:04
beautiful things we can do, and we're fortunate enough in the
00:11:06
times that we live to be connected through things like
00:11:10
the podcast, through things like social media, and if we can
00:11:14
support each other in those areas by sharing the message,
00:11:19
clicking the like button, giving it a heart, whatever it might
00:11:24
be, rating it on Apple, all of those things can really help to
00:11:29
support the people that you have in those online communities.
00:11:34
So I'm not going to tell you what topics we have coming up in
00:11:40
the coming weeks, but I've got some exciting guests.
00:11:43
I'm really looking forward to speaking with them and sharing
00:11:48
those with you over the coming weeks.
00:11:50
Thank, thank you so much again for listening and I'll speak to
00:11:53
you next week.
00:11:54
Bye for now.
